More Vacay Pics

Bennett standing in Donald Duck's footprints
Bennett and Mommy on the scary carousel that went so fast even Mommy was feeling sick. It was like out of a horror film with the loud music and weird horses. Bennett was OK at first, but once it really got moving, he wanted off!
Bennett's new trick--pointing with one finger. I know right around the corner is him yelling out in the grocery store, "hey mom, what's wrong with that lady?!"

You knew the "eating sand" picture was coming, didn't ya? I told him "no" the first attempt, but the second time, I let him eat it until after I got the picture. Mean momma, but he needs to learn to listen the first time.

Back from our LA Vacation

No, we didn't feel the earthquake, but we had a spectacular time nonetheless. Bennett loved exploring each hotel room (there were 3) and all the luggage. He is getting more adventurous, and it is hard to keep him still. Here are some pics of the hotel shenanigans.

Houston Again?!

This past weekend we traveled down to Houston to give Bennett's Aunt Tiana and Uncle John a baby shower to welcome the impending arrival of his SECOND boy cousin, Jonas (long story behind this in which I made a complete arse of myself-what else is new?). Bennett explored Aunt Tiana & Uncle John's dogs' kennels which are bigger than our kennels for Penny and Bonita. He had great fun opening and closing the doors and crawling through them.
Then, he learned how to climb their stairs. Thank goodness we don't have stairs at home, because the boy was quick!

Saturday night Bennett came down with a fever. Monday he stayed home with Mommy and went to see the doctor, who found that Bennett's average cold had made room for a nice ear infection, 7 days before our vacation that involves a flight. Lovely! Here's to hoping Bennett is healed by next week. Work antibiotics, work!

Happy Independence Day & 10 Months Old!

We had a wonderful 4th of July party, but we are pooped!
Here are some pics of Bennett in his pool today. He loves the water.

And here is one of Bennett trying to crawl through the coffee table. By the way, exciting news: Bennett has picked up on the sign language. He can sign "all done" and "more". I guess mom and dad are going to have to up their game and start learning and introducing some more signs.
