Easter

Bennett had a total of 4 Easter egg hunts, beginning Thursday at daycare and ending with a big one at Misty's house. By the end of it, he finally understood the whole "find the egg, insert into basket" routine, though I don't think he ever really felt the rush of finding the eggs and inserting them into the basket...probably next year. We had a great weekend in Houston, visiting all of our family and friends. Bennett enjoyed the petting zoo at Angela's neighborhood park. We must be teaching him something right, because he used "gentle hands" on all the animals (as opposed to how he treats our dogs). At Misty's house, he played non-stop with McKenna's playhouse. I'm sure he was thinking, "finally, a place where I can open and shut the door to my heart's desire, and NO ONE IS YELLING AT ME!" Yeah! He also enjoyed removing the stools from the house, putting the stools back in the house, one at a time, and then taking them out again. He's such a crazy and serious little boy!

Helping in the Kitchen

These pictures speak for themselves. While Mommy cleaned the kitchen, Bennett occupied himself concocting some creation in the kitchen, intently pouring things into the bowl and replacing each lid with care. All in a day's work.

In case you needed more proof that Bennett is too cute

This is a preview of his 18 month/Spring 2009 pics.

Look what my daddy taught me

We visited a shoe store this weekend, and Arty showed Bennett what the footsies were for...so when Bennett found one stowed away in one of the shoe boxes, he promptly requested me to put it on for him, over and over and over, until the footsie accidentally got lost in the trash can. Penny put it there.

Spring

Not much time to chat...headed to work, but had to let everyone see these adorable pictures from this weekend. Yes, he tried to eat the dandelion (of course). Bennett spent pretty much all day Sunday outside, and then when we got home, he wanted to go outside some more. Mommy is going to end up very tan this summer (while still using SPF 30). :-) Happy Monday!

Vampire

Bennett turned 18 months this week and with that came a doctor's appt. No shots, but he weighs almost 25 lbs (40th percentile) and he's 33 in. long (70th percentile). This morning he decided to eat some of mom's cherries off her plate, and you can see the results!
